I supply bags of logs from Kiln Dried Logs Ltd and Walkers Logs, comparison photos below, the logs are kiln dried hardwoods, approximately 9 inches long and certified below 20% moisture content under the DEFRA Woodsure Ready To Burn scheme.
Kiln Dried Logs Ltd logs are a mixture of beech, hornbeam and oak, the densest hardwoods giving off the most heat for their volume. Walkers Logs are a wider mixture of hardwood species and a more uniform chunky size that burn and release heat slower.
I am often asked which are better, it is very subjective and both are very good quality logs but I would suggest Walkers logs for open fires and bigger stoves. For my stove I like to use a mixture, Kiln Dried Logs Ltd. logs when lighting the fire and if a boost is needed, Walkers Logs for when the stove is ticking over, but happily use either if this is not possible.
I also sell kindling and Flamers eco firelighters, there are more pictures of the products on the prices page.
